Welcome!

Welcome to Evangel Classical Christian School, located in Alabaster. ECCS currently enrolls 295 students in grades K5-12. At ECCS, we are committed to providing our students with an excellent, classical education that is founded upon a Christian world view. As you browse the pages of our site, we hope you get a small taste of what classical education offers and of how teaching from a Biblical world view is more than simply education in a Christian environment. ECCS is a great place for students, a great place for teachers, and a great place for families. If you are looking for something different for your child's education, then ECCS just might be the difference you've been looking for. Call us at 205.216.0149 to schedule your tour today.

Welcome from the Grammar School & Administrative Principal

Dear Evangel Family and Guests,

Welcome to Evangel Classical Christian School. It has been both a blessing and privilege to serve as Administrative Principal of ECCS for the past nine years—since the school’s inception in 2000. It has always been our goal to provide a distinctively classical and Christian environment and educational experience to the students of the Alabaster, Pelham, and Helena areas.

Parents who are looking for a better alternative to the mundane educational experience need look no further! ECCS has distinguished itself as the leader in academic excellence and rigor. By promoting truth, beauty, and goodness in both the classical and personal sense, achievement and academic success abounds. By implementing time-proven, classical methodologies within the classroom, teachers love to teach and students love to learn.

If you are a prospective ECCS student, parent, or employee, we encourage you to explore our site and learn more about our school.  As always, we thank you for your prayers and support.

In His Service,
Mrs. Pamela McKee,
Administrative/Grammar School Principal

Welcome from the Logic and Rhetoric School Principal

Dear Evangel Family and Guests,

Wonderful things are happening at ECCS! Of course, we are all eagerly anticipating moving into our new classrooms, but in the meantime we have had a very full and fun first month of school. Football, volleyball, elections, clubs, and of course classes have all gotten off to a great start. We're making plans for class rings and college tours. We'll be establishing our chapter of the Junior Classical League within the next month, and we're formalizing plans for our junior/senior trip to Greece and Rome for the Fall of 2009. We stand amazed at the blessings the Lord has poured out on our school, and the air is full of anticipation as we wonder what He has in store for us next.

Amidst all the excitement, however, our school remains an incredibly peaceful place to be. The sweet fellowship between students, faculty, parents, and staff creates a loving, nurturing family atmosphere in our school that is evident to all who enter our doors. I have had many conversations with parents, with visitors, and even with students who have come from other schools about what a wonderful and different thing we’ve got going on here at ECCS. Certainly, ECCS is like no other place.

If you are not already a member of our ECCS family, we’d love for you to get to know us better. Browse our web site for more information and then give us a call. We would love to set up a time to meet you, talk about classical education with you, and give you a tour of our school so that you can see the ECCS difference first hand. It just might be the difference you’ve been looking for.

Warmly,
Melissa Bell
Logic and Rhetoric School Principal
